When Bush Hill Park was chartered in December 1982 the club members wanted some way of establishing their own identity. The club at that time was one of six covering the London Borough of Enfield and the first evening club After researching for some local aspect which would be appropriate, it was learned that the Cunard family of shipping line fame had strong links with the district of Bush Hill Park, and lived in Halliwick House on Bush Hill before it became a home and school for  Handicapped girls.
Correspondance with Sir Guy Cunard, then head of the family, followed, and he kindly gave the club permission to use the family coat of arms, without the central heraldic device which was Sir Guy's own personal mark.
The Rotary Logo was an ideal replacement for the centrepiece. Sir Guy was sent a copy of the final design, which he approved, and so the design was adopted and appears on the club's banner.
The club meets at the Jolly Farmers, 2 Enfield Road, Enfield.  On a Wednesday evening at 7pm for 7.30pm.All visitors welcome but please contact us first.
